JBL PRONOVO FEX – Bachröhrchenwürmer

Tubifex worms are a natural part of the diet for many ornamental fish that forage the bottom of the aquarium for food. Tubifex worms can grow to be 15-85 mm long and live in the substrate. Their red color comes from the presence of hemoglobin, which disappears during the freeze-drying process. Unlike live or frozen food, there is no risk of introducing diseases or unwanted bacteria into the aquarium when using freeze-dried Tubifex.

JBL PRONOVO FEX comes in “chunks” that float on the water’s surface due to their buoyancy. Fish can easily nibble on smaller chunks, or alternatively, the chunks can be pressed in the water to reduce their buoyancy.

To expand the diet of ornamental fish, it is highly recommended to supplement their main food with freeze-dried options. Feed size/mouth size: It may sound trivial, but it is important that the size of the feed matches the mouth size of the fish. Not all fish can bite off larger chunks of food. The appropriate fish size for a particular feed size is indicated on the bottom left of the front label of all JBL food containers.
