Crystal-clear and healthy water Poor lighting conditions, over-fertilization, or an excess of nutrients can have detrimental effects on aquarium water, promoting the growth of algae. Green floating algae and white clouding caused by bacteria can occur. The JBL water clarifier effectively eliminates cloudiness resulting from bacteria and floating algae. The aquarium water flows through the robust, UV-resistant casing of the clarifier, where the UV radiation eliminates bacteria, germs, and floating algae. This UV-C water clarifier is highly efficient due to the presence of a polished, reflective stainless steel foil surrounding the glass bulb. The foil enhances the reflection of UV-C radiation, effectively doubling the clarifier’s efficiency. Furthermore, it aids in eliminating persistent algae, including thread algae, as their spores are largely destroyed.

No harmful side effects Using the JBL water clarifier does not alter the water parameters nor negatively impact the essential beneficial bacteria in the filter, ensuring a safe and healthy aquatic environment.

Easy installation The water clarifier can be easily connected to an external filter or a separate water pump. The package includes a 90° elbow, allowing for flexible installation in any desired position.

Safety The JBL UV-C Water Clarifier has undergone TÜV testing and features a safety switch that automatically shuts off the device when opened. The UV-resistant casing is built with sturdy walls and includes an LED indicator to confirm the activation status of the UV-C bulb.

Differences from the previous model, JBL ProCristal UV-C Compact: The function indicator light is now located on the flat side of the electrical unit, and the microswitch responsible for automatically turning off the burner when the housing is opened (if the plug is not removed) has been replaced with a magnetic safety switch. Consequently, the electrical units of the previous models (Compact) are not compatible with the new ones (Compact Plus), and vice versa.
